DALLAS — A fiery fourth-quarter comeback from LSU erased a 12-point Virginia Tech lead, giving the Tigers a 79-72 win within the first nationwide semifinal within the women’s Ultimate 4 and advancing LSU to Sunday’s title recreation.

The Tigers will play the winner of South Carolina-Iowa.

Trailing 59–50 coming into the fourth, LSU scored 15 unanswered factors to take a 72–62 lead with 3:04 remaining. Virginia Tech, with its small bench, couldn’t get better.

Alexis Morris led LSU with 27 factors, whereas Angel Reese chipped in 24 factors and 12 rebounds for his thirty third double-double of the season. The Tigers outscored Virginia Tech within the paint 54–14 (no, that is not a misprint) and transformed 15 offensive boards into 24 second-chance factors.
